Hello and welcome to my website.
...and the wheel turns...
Lammas Newsletter

It's the season of Lammas (or Lughnasa), celebrated on 1st August and marks the first harvest of the year. It is a time when all the hedge grows are bursting, so unsurprisingly the themes of this Sabbat are abundance and warmth, success and prosperity, gratitude and patience. Traditionally this time is celebrated by harvesting the wheat and baking bread with it, but unfortunately, (unless you're rocking a flour mill in your house ) we have to work with what we've got. lol! It is all about intention, after all! This is also a time to gather round the fire... well let's face it every Sabbat has a fire involved, but this is actually the third fire festival of the year, You can play games with your nearest and dearest and drink mead (or sloe gin) and then offer it to the Earth as a thankyou if you want! Do it quietly though, we don't want the neighbours thinking we're nuts!
