Hello and welcome to my website.
...and the wheel turns...
Litha Newsletter

.
I'm not quite sure how we've managed it but we're half way through the year already and I haven't even made my elderflower cordial yet!
My Name Has Changed...
As you may have noticed, the intentions I set at Beltane have grown little shoots...
I have been walking the natural, seasonal led path for years and have looked for home and personal accessories that reflect the beauty of the Earth's seasons and the love of the Old Ways of course, but have never been able to find them. All witchy apparel seems to be black, goth, skulls, tarantulas and tie dye which isn't my style... so Pretty Witches was born! I didn't want to run two business as that seems daft so Lotus Women's Holistics is no more. I'm very excited about the new start and am busy creatively sewing away when I'm not doing treatments now.
Have a look at the shop...
I have added a little shop to my website, some things are produced or put together by me and some are things that have caught my eye or I use myself. It is all available in my treatment room, (but unfortunately isn't a walk in shop). If you want anything and would prefer to collect, that's absolutely fine too! I hope you like it :-)
 Litha
It's the season of Litha, a time to celebrate Summer solstice or the longest day.
In an old folklore legend, there were twin brothers that ruled the land together, but battled for power. The Oak King, lord of light growth and summer and The Holly King, lord of shadow rest and Winter. The Holly King preferred the land cold and dark and the Oak King liked warmth and light. After many battles to determine who was right, the two Kings decided on a compromise to share the land. Forever more the Holly King rules the dark half of the year and the Oak King the light.

Celebrate summer solstice by
-
lighting fires
-
see the sunrise
-
sun gazing or bathing
-
collect flowers, leaves, forage,
-
Pull tarot or oracle cards, asking what you've learned from the
first half of the year or what is to come in the second.
-
Make rose water with rose petals and water and use as a toner.
